Here’s the book that I wrote for Lark Publishers in 2000. There are many reasons why I don’t make shoes now the same way that I did at that time, mostly because of my concern for the environment. I don’t use toxic shoe cements any more, which changes the shoemaking process considerably. Also, some of the patterns are not easy to follow, I think patterns from my new books are much better.
Nevertheless, I think there’s information that is worth viewing, and a range of shoe styles that may inspire a pair that you would like to make. May you enjoy reading it! .
