I used Peltex because it is non-woven so it won&#8217;t unravel, but won&#8217;t stretch as much as felt, another non-woven material. However, felt will work if you don&#8217;t have access to Peltex. The Peltex is used to make the covering of the last, and playdough plus sand gets stuffed inside of it.<\/p>\n<p>I use Martha Stewart&#8217;s playdough recipe &#8211; https:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/268090\/homemade-play-dough. You might make a double batch for children&#8217;s lasts, since you will be making them for both feet, and perhaps a quadruple batch for adult lasts.<\/p>\n<p>You will mix the playdough with sand, perhaps 50\/50.
