Stitch Out & In SolesSTITCH-DOWN SIMPLE SOLES:These soles have stitching holes punched directly into the sole. They are meant for making footwear of thicker leather and other durable materials that will not fray when "turned out". Soles made with topsole of vegetable-tanned leather (sanded and buffed to a nice gloss) and outer sole of natural rubber, in either chestnut or black - $25.00/pairSoles made with two layers of vegetable-tanned leather, good choice for a dancing shoe - $28.00/pair TURNED-IN SIMPLE SOLESThese soles have a layer of premium poron cushioning and a thin leather insole cemented to them. These layers make "turned-in" stitching possible. Turned-in stitching is ideal for making footwear using thinner leather and fabrics, since the raw edges are stitched turning to the inside. I will be making a video of the stitching process, as it is challenging to describe in words. |
